The UFC will make its promotional debut in Scotland on July 18 and it is only fitting that former TUF contestant and Scotland native Joanne Caldewood would be part of that event. On Friday the UFC announced that Calderwood would take on “Rowdy” Bec Rawlings in front of her fellow country men and women.
Calderwood (9-1) transitioned from the TUF House successfully by winning a decision over Seo Hee Ham in her UFC debut. Her second bout did not go as planned as she as upset by Maryna Moroz and lost the bout by an armbar early in the first round. Calderwood will now have extra motivation to perform well in her homeland of Scotland.
Rawlings (6-4), also a TUF alum, is coming off a submission win over Lisa Ellis just a few weeks ago at the UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Miocic event. The win was the first for Rawlings in the UFC as she dropped her debut to Heather Clark via decision.
UFC Fight Night will take place on July 18 at SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland and is expected to air live on FOX Sports 1.
