UFC Fight Night: Mendes vs. Lamas Results

The UFC returned to television with an afternoon/early morning card live from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. In the main event Chad Mendes continued to prove he is the best featherweight in the world not named Jose Aldo as he defeated Ricardo Lamas with a TKO in the very first round.

Al Iaquinta stole the show but not by his performance but by his post fight choice of words. Iaquinta won a close fight over Jorge Masvidal that many, including the mass majority in attendance, thought Masvidal actually won. After the decision was announced the crowed erupted with jeers while Masvidal ran out the octagon straight towards the locker room. Iaquinta was left in the octagon to vent his frustration towards that crowd and asked if they were booing him and then he proceeded to curse them out.
