According to multiple reports UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm has signed an extension with the company. Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez, confirmed to ESPN.com that his client had signed the deal. The UFC has not officially commented on the report.
No specific details of the deal have been released but according to Fresquez he and Holm are “very happy with the extension.” The deal was signed on Saturday in Las Vegas.
It has been a whirlwind few months for Holm since she defeated Ronda Rousey at UFC 193. Since the victory Holm has been in a country wide media tour. Though no official annoucement has been made the UFC is expected to have Holm face Rousey in a rematch later this year. However, Holm has expressed a strong desire to face a different opponent in the meantime.
Holm (10-0) made her MMA debt in 2011 after a long and successful career in boxing and kickboxing. She made her first UFC appearance in February of 2015 where she defeated Raquel Pennington via a unanimous decision.
