Not long after it was announced that he was being replaced by Anderson Silva in the main event against Michael Bisping, Gegard Mousasi gave an update to his fans via his Twitter account.
With no injury to Mousasi it seems that the UFC wanted to make a splash with the Silva announcement. Hardcore fight fans would have probably preferred to see Silva go up against the decorated Mousasi than Bisping. With the event taking place in London it was only natural to have Bisping in the main event against one of the greatest fighters of all time.
Mousasi (37-6) is coming off a knockout loss to Uriah Hall back in September and has compiled a UFC record of 4-3 but his time in the organization has been spent facing the likes of Lyoto Machida, Dan Henderson, and Jacare Souza.
UFC Fight Night in London will take place on February 27 at The O2 in London and will be seen exclusively on the UFC Fight Pass.
