As if being the first fighter to defeat Ronda Rousey and doing so in devastating fashion was not enough. New UFC’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm took home a very nice bonus for her efforts on Saturday night. For her extraordinary efforts at UFC 193 Holm was awarded bonuses adding up to $100,000. Rousey was given $50,000 for being part of the “Fight of the Night” and Australian native Kyle Noke was awarded the final “Performance of the Night” bonus.
Holm was awarded a “Performance of the Night” and “Fight of the Night” bonus for knocking out Rousey in round two of their bantamweight championship bout. Holm made Rousey look very uncomfortable from the opening bell. The former boxing champion used movement with different angles to avoid all of Rousey’s offense.
Veteran fighter Noke had an impressive knockout of opponent Peter Sobotta. Noke landed a front kick to the body that dropped Sobotta and forced him to let out a loud groan. Noke followed that up with several punches on the ground that went unanswered which forced the referee to stop the bout.
UFC 193 took has held at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
