Joseph Duffy vs. Dustin Poirier Rescheduled for UFC 195

The Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier bout that was originally scheduled for the UFC Fight Night in Dublin, Ireland has been rescheduled for Las Vegas at UFC 195.

Duffy was forced out of the originally scheduled bout after suffering a mild concussion in training camp. The UFC decided to pull the fighter for concerns of his overall health. A replacement fighter was not sought after and Poirier was pulled from the card as well.

The fight will now take place on January 2, 2016 hopefully giving Duffy ample time to recover from his injury. Duffy (14-1) has only two fights with the UFC but is extremely popular in his native Ireland. He is most notable for being the last man to defeat Conor McGregor.

After a stint in the featherweight division, Poirier (18-4) moved back up to the lightweight division in 2015. He has gone 2-0 with both his wins coming by way of knockout.

UFC 195 will take place on January 2, 2016 and will be headlined by a welterweight championship bout between Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit.
