UFC 189 Weigh-In Results and Video

On the eve of one of the UFC’s biggest events, fireworks were set off as the “Notorious” Conor McGregor put on a show for over 10,000 people at the official weigh-ins for UFC 189. McGregor and his opponent, Chad Mendes, nearly traded blows as UFC president Dana White did all he could to separate the two fighters during their stare down.

Love him or hate him, the one thing that cannot be denied about McGregor is his charisma and the power he holds over the fans. There has not been a fighter in the UFC’s history who has drawn such emotion, good and bad, from the fans as McGregor has.

On Friday the final steps were taken to make the interim featherweight title bout official as both McGregor and Mendes came in at the 145-pound weight limit.

The night’s co-main event will be a welterweight championship bout between Robbie Lawler and highly touted Rory MacDonald. Lawler weighed in at 169.5 pounds while MacDonald came in at an even 170-pounds.
