Invicta FC 12 is all set to take place on Friday April 24 as the official weigh-in were held on Thursday. Not all of the fighters made their respective weight limits but main event participators: Invicta straw-weight champion Katja Kankaanpaa and her opponent Livia Renata Souza both made weight. The event will take place at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Kansas and can be seen live on the UFC Fight Pass. Kankaanpaa (10-1) is entering her first title defense on a two fight win streak and is 4-1 in her last five fights. Her last loss came to the UFC’s Joanne Calderwood. Souza (7-0) is making her debut with Invicta but has an impressive resume fighting primary in her native Brazil. Of her seven wins, Souza has six submissions victories.
