UFC Fight Night: Cro Cop vs. Gonzaga Weigh-In Results

On Saturday April 11th the UFC will make its debut in Poland as it continues to expand his world wide audience. The main event for the Fight Night will be a heavyweight rematch between former Pride Superstar Mirko Cro Cop and Gabriel Gonzaga. The two men last meet inside that octagon back in 2007 when Gonzaga threw a wrench in the UFC’s plans to have a super fight between Cro Cop and then heavyweight champion Randy Couture when he landed one of the most vicious head kick knockouts in MMA history. Cro Cop could not bring the success he had in Pride with him to the UFC. In ten bouts with the promotion Cro Cop went 4-6 and out of those six loses, five came by way of TKO. Since leaving the UFC in 2011, Cro Cop has gone 3-1 with two KO finishes.

Gabriel Gonzaga has not faired so well in the UFC of late riding a two fight losing streak. Is this the rematch the MMA fans wanted to see? Probably not, but both men have a lot to prove in the twilight of their careers. For Cro Cop it may be a chance at retribution at the man who stifled the run he could have had in the UFC. For Gonzaga is is an opportunity to prove that the head kick heard around the world was not a fluke and that he could pull of the kick again. The event can be seen on UFC Fight Pass. Below are the full weigh in results and video.
