Cormier Retains Title: UFC 192 Results

Daniel Cormier was successful in his first title defense on Saturday night inside the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. He defeated challenger Alexander Gustafsson in an epic battle that is already a fight of the year candidate.

Cormier was able to use his superior grappling skills to grind out a hard-fought victory over Gustafsson, who once again came up just short of winning the light heavyweight championship. Gustafsson had his moments but it was Cormier who walked away with the split-decision victory.
