Andrey Koreshkov Defeats Douglas Lima, Crowned New Champion: Bellator 140 Results

Andrey Koreshkov enlisted a strategy that Douglas Lima did not see coming, utilizing his takedowns. The game plan worked as Koreshkov was able to defeat Lima to become the new Bellator welterweight champion at Bellator 140. The event took place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and aired live on Spike TV.

Also on the card was welterweight standout Michael “Venom” Page scored yet another knockout victory, this time his victim was Rudy Bears. The win pushed Page’s record to a perfect 8-0 overall and more importantly he is now 4-0 in Bellator with three of those wins coming by way of knockout or TKO.

With Koreshkov winning the title on the same night, Bellator officials may be tempted to give Page a title shot and see how bright his star can shine.
